WTN: An Alpine White & A Red...(short/boring)

Tried these two over the last few days:
1. L'Alpage Chasselas Ad'OC: LaCote/Mont-Sur-Rolle/Suisse (12.0%; EricSolomonSlctns/Charlotte/NC) Schenk/Rolle/Suisse 2020: Pale yellow color; lightly fragrant floral/dandelions slight mineral/chalky bit simple pleasant nose; lightly tart/metallic light floral/dandelions rather simple/quiet bit vapid flavor; med.short lightly tart slight floral/dandelions/chalky quiet bit vapid/simple finish; a simple wine bordering on vapid & lacks the soaring aromatics or crisp minerality you'd expect from an Alpine white. $23.00 (AV)

2. Ch.Fieullet Tourette Dd'OP: Valle d'Aosta (13.5%; 90% PetiteRouge/10% Mayolet; KermitLynchImprts/Berkeley; Lotto 07/21) 2020: Very dark color; strong blackberry/boysenberry/black cherry/PR some pencilly/oak light earthy slight floral/Alpine red bit Refosco-like quite perfumed lovely nose; fairly tart rather rich/lush fairly intense blackberry/black cherry/PR some Alpine red/floral/violets/earthy flavor w/ light tangy tannins; very long very strong blackberry/black cherry/ripe/PR light mineral/earthyslight floral/Alpine red/violets bit complex finish w/ modest tangy tannins; loads of black cherry/PR fruit & will benefit from 3-5 yrs of age; a very good value at $29.00 (KK)

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. Chasselas, also known as Fendant, is the most widely planted grape in Suisse. I've had some Fendants in the past that I thought were good Alpine whites. The wine was suspiciously cheap for an EricSolomon wine, so I had low expectations. It fully delivered on those expectations. It would be a decent white for Raclette or Fondue, but you could do better for the same or cheaper price.

2. Tourette: This is the most recent vintage of this wine. Had the '18 a month ago & loved it. This one doesn't have the soaring aromatics of that Alpine red, but will eventually develop that I suspect.
