2. Delmore Syrah EdnaVlly (13.8%; WildFrmtd; U) PasoRobles 2021: Med.dark color; very strong blackberry/Syrah/very spicy some toasty/oak some Rhonish/roasted (w-c?) slight earthy bit simpler nose; bit softer slight tangy/metallic/angular strong blackberry/Syrah/black cherry cola/fairly spicy some toasty/oak bit Rhonish/roasted bit simpler rather structured flavor w/ ample chewey tannins; very long strong spicy/blackberry/Syrah/black cherry cola/bit peppery some Rhonish/roasted light toasty/oak structured finish w/ ample tannins; fairly structured & needs 4-8 yrs of age yet; a bit simpler than the '18 but still quite a good Syrah that should develop well. $36.00

More irpapirtl from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. These are the wines from DarrenDelmore, national marketing guy for TablasCreekVnyds. He makes his wine in the TinCity complex in PasoRobles.
The StoloFamilyVnyds is one of the coldest Syrah vnyds in all Calif, way out on the Eastern outskirts of Cambria. They also make Syrah under the StoloFamilyVnyd label. I found the '18 much more of an interesting Syrah because of the strong c-c/black pepper character.
The '21, co-frmtd w/ Viognier, comes from the very rare Graff Syrah clone. Supposedly a suitcase clone brought over from Cote-Rotie by DickGraff in the early '70's. I had never heard of this Syrah clone & have no idea what he did with it at Chalone.
