2015 Goodfellow Family Cellars Pinot Noir Heritage No. 6 - USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley (6/18/2022)
The first thing that struck me when I opened it was how much more concentrated this was than most Goodfellow bottlings. The wines are never short on flavor, but this had density, nearly its own gravity. Fruit in the dark red end of the spectrum, and ample structure to sustain its depth, the balance was on point, just larger scaled than most Goodfellow wines I had previously tasted. Sad that I only had the one bottle, as it seemed to be capable of profitably aging for a very long time.
