WTN: Try, try, try and understand, he’s a Majik man

2005 Pax Syrah Majik Vineyard - USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast (9/21/2022)
The CellarTracker drinking window says it’s well past peak. Some reviewers say it’s fading. Dead wrong. It’s classic Syrah, showing the meaty, smoky, tar inflected soul of Syrah, with the fresh acidity of the Sonoma Coast. There’s no oxidation, no tiredness. A couple of hours after opening it’s just as strong as the first sip. Certainly in its prime drinking window, but I don’t see it going downhill anytime soon.
