NV Marguet Champagne Grand Cru Shaman 18 Rosé - France, Champagne, Champagne Grand Cru (10/30/2022)
11/2021 disgorgement.

I desperately wanted to like this, but I could not get there. Laura felt the same way. The aromatics were lovely, all red fruit and saline. Then the severe austerity hit on the palate, and it was vey hard to drink. The finish broadened, giving some hope that it would eventually round out just a little, but every sip over the course of two nights was as ungivng and cruel as the last. This desperately needed just a couple of grams of dosage to tame the beastly character. Maybe some cellar time will help, though I am dubious at best. Best for fans of wine as punishment.
