DryCreekVnyd TheMariness DryCreekVlly/SonomaCnty (13.5%; Meritage blend; 88% SauvBlanc/9% Muscadelle du Bordelais; 3% Semillon; Aged: Fr.oak/Acacia/Chestnut for 7 mo.)2021: Light yellow color; fairly strong herbal/SB/slight weedy light pencilly/oak rather NZ SB-like bit grapefruity nose; quite tart/tangy bit lean/pinched/spare rather herbal/grapefruity/SB light pencilly/oak flavor; med.long tart/tangy bit lean/spare strong SB/herbal/grapefruity light pencilly/oak finish;a rather spare/pinched SB that resembles some a Graves w/o te mineral/earthy character; some a NZ SB but more austere; a pleasant enough SB but just that; doesn't hold a candle to the DCV Talyor's SauvBlanc Musque. $35.00

Carlisle Zin PaperaRanch RRV/SonomaCnty (15.0%; Plntd: 1934 by Celestino Papera; 1,000 cs) Windsor 2019: Dark color; intense blackberry/boysenberry/Zin/very spicy classic RRV/peppery Zin bit chocolaty/licorice/ripe some toasty/Fr.oak quite dusty/OV beautiful classic Carlisle nose; rather tart/tangy intense spicy/RRV peppery/Zin/blackberry/boysenberry/licorice fairly toasty/oak quite dusty/OV fairly complex flavor w/ ample chewey tannins; very long/lingering intense blackberry/boysenberry/RRV peppery Zin/licorice strong toasty/oak quite structured very dusty/OV some complex finish w/ ample chewey tannins; a beautiful very intense Papera Zin that needs 2-6 yrs of age & should go out longer; one of the better Paperas I can recall. $40.00
