2016 John Anthony Vineyards Syrah - USA, California, Napa Valley, Oak Knoll District (3/1/2023)
Another bottle, this time pulled from my late dad’s cellar, and it was quite fresh and bright on pop and pour. Lots of ripe, crunchy fruit, subtle tannin, and a finish with meaty and earthy elements to back up the fruit. This is a bit obvious, but in a very enjoyable way. Fun to drink, now and over the next few years.
