Tried this new VinoMMacerati wine last night:
1. Dom.de Courbissac L'Orange VdF (12%; Marsanne/MuscatBlanc Petits Grains/Muscat d'Alexandria/GrenacheGris/CarignaneBlanc/TerretGris; 9 days skin contact/6 mo in concrete eggs; EuropeanCllrs/Charlotte/NC; Eric SolomonSlctns) Winemaker: Brunnhilde Claux/Cesseras/Languedoc 2021: Med.dark gold/burnished bronze color; strong resiny/phenolic/VM lightly floral/appley/earthy/slight muscatty some complex nose; quite tart/tangy/metallic very strong VM/resiny/skin-contact/phenolic very slight floral/appley/Marsanne bit muscatty rather austere fairly tannic flavor; very long very strong phenolic/VM/resiny/skin-contact bit rich rather tart/tannic/austere slight appley/Marsanne/floral/muscatty bit complex finish w/ some tangy tannins; dominated by the VM/phenolic character & not much pleasure to taste; needs 3-8 yrs of age but should be a great VM when it matures. $37.00 (LCS)

More lifflebrack from TheBloodyPulpit:
1. This was a new producer I'd not heard of. Found it lurking on the shelp at the New LeCasa Sena wine shop, so thought I'd give it a try. Sort of a hodge-podge of varieties. But it was dominated by the phenolic character, so makes no diff.
