WTN: Drawing a Blanc

2021 Goodfellow Family Cellars Pinot Blanc Franc de Pied - USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Yamhill-Carlton (5/10/2023)
Game time decision, so not much advance air, but it didn’t really need it. Ripe pear, a touch of fresh seaweed, and then there’s the richness on the palate that happens when a Pinot Blanc is actually ripe. The richness on the palate mimics a bit of sweetness, but that’s just the fruit talking. Delicious now, it has ample depth for several years of aging, though I am unlikely to let much age at all.
