WTN: Ain't it a Chene

by Jenise » Thu May 25, 2023 1:37 pm

Last night with chicken schnitzels in an Herbs de Provence and panko crust:

2015 Domaine du Chateau de Meursault Volnay 1er Cru Clos des Chênes Pinot Noir
Fairly open after pulling cork, youthful dark red fruit color and flavor profile in the style of a 3-5 year old. It has put on weight since 2021 but it doesn't show the overt ripeness of some '15s and there's almost nothing yet in the way of secondary development. Volnay perfume picked up in spades at about the 2-hour mark. A delight, good future ahead.

Huh. I would have expected it to be still shut down.

There has been about one TN per year on CT since 2018--it has evolved over the years but apparently this one never shut down.
