Love 'em or despise them, the Gallo family has played a major role in shaping the U.S. wine industry. Marking the death of Ernest Gallo at the age of 97 this week, you're invited, if you wish, to bring a Gallo wine (at any price level) to taste, toast and discuss during tonight's regular Wednesday Forum Chat.

Strictly optional, of course, and it won't be a one-note song. We'll go over the usual wacky range of wine-related and non-wine-related topics at the usual time and place tonight at 9:30 p.m. US EST, 6:30 Pacific, 0230 GMT, in The WLDG Chat Room!

I would like to join you but have no Gallo on my cellar. Agree that he is a pioneer but left all the big time drinking of Gallo to my youth, about 300 years ago.
