REMINDER: Mid-Week Chat Tonight

by Cynthia Wenslow » Wed Apr 04, 2007 4:20 pm

I know some of you were counting on being rid of my iron-fist-in-a-velvet-glove chat mod style, but I thought I'd post the reminder today since Robin has just gotten home.

Please join The Usual Suspects at the regular time tonight for our Mid-Week Chat. Remember that the US is back on summer time, which may change the time at which Chat commences for all you overseas Chatters. (Unless you don't mind being fashionably late....)

Chat begins at 9:30 p.m. US Eastern Daylight Time (7:30 Mountain, 6:30 Pacific), 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Sydney. (Someone jump in and post correct international times if needed, please!)

Come on in! WLDG Chat Room

And sometimes we even talk about wine!

Don't know if I can make it. My in-laws are in town and are using the guest room where the computer is. At 81 and 80 respectively, they tend to turn in early. AS my father-in-law has two bullet holes courtesy the Germans in '44 and '45 I am more than willing to oblige. They are also wonderful people. I may be able to poke in early. Who knows?
Yes, and how many deaths will it take 'til he knows
That too many people have died?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind.

Hey, give the old folks a shot at that wonderful swingset in the backyard.
Seriously, I am so much in awe of the WW2 generation. They have sacrificed so much, especially those who served. And, somewhat surprisingly in this era, almost to a person they are so very humble about their contributions. They are truly special.

Bill, that's funnier than you realize. He built the darn thing thirteen years ago when we first moved into the house. He is as humble as you say. Truly one of my heroes, besides the fact that he raised my wife along with eleven other children. They are both saints in my book!
