Ideally by Friday the 15th- but even if you decide Saturday the 23rd morning to show up and surprise us, we'd welcome you and love to have you join us. If you do come to the wineries, you will be glad you did.

The minivan is all set, oil change, new brakes, I plan on vacuuming it out on Wednesday (PearlAnne has left a few lbs of cheerios near her seat). I'm going to check with Burt to see if we can rendezvous at his store, I'd like to be on the road by 8 am.

Ed, I just cross-posted on the Netscape board with a link to here for the tour.
Chico - Hey! This Bottle is empty!
Groucho - That's because it's dry Champagne.

Q. What's worse than a minivan load of wine nerds leaving Buffalo for Keuka lake?
A. A minivan load of wine nerds leaving Buffalo for Keuka lake with 2 empty seats. (remember the old lawyer joke). We still have room in my van.

The people driving to Ravines from Buffalo: We will meet at 8am at 3411 Delaware avenue Kenmore NY. That is next to Prime Wines (Premier Liquor, my former employer, I now work for the owners son at another member of the Premier Group of stores). The plan is to drive up in my minivan and be back in Buffalo for supper- either Morgans (within walking distance of the cars) or at Sawer Creek, where we had supper last year (everyone was impressed)

For those of us departing from other points, what is your ETA at Ravines (at least, a later post suggests Ravines is the first stop)? Thanks.

I'm thinking a slow and easy ride will get us there by 11. I'm going to call Ravines tomorrow and make sure it works for them

Ed,
Are ther still two empty spots in the van? If so Jeannette and I will take them. Otherwise we will follow you in our Jetta. Hopefully we will be able to find this place from our hotel in Niagara Falls.
Cheers!

James,
Jeannette and you are #5 and # 6 in the minivan. We can all fit comfortably. I just got the oil changed and brand new brakes so we are all set!

James - My house could be on the way to where we will be meeting Ed. You could leave your car at my house and ride with John and me.
Chico - Hey! This Bottle is empty!

Just as long as I don't have to spit at the winery I'm good with whatever is easiest. I can't wait!

For those meeting us at the winery
The plan is now set in stone to meet at Ravines at 11:00, if I'm not there yet (I plan on wearing my WDLG.com polo shirt), ask for Lisa Halgren and tell her you are with the group. We will be sampling 8 wines and some cheeses in a private area and (hopefully) the award winning winemaker (Morten Halgren) will be able to join us. I'll be hearing from the Dr Frank people to finalize times there today or tomorrow!

Ed, James & John. Due to a death in the family (my wife's 90 year old aunt), I will not be able to participate in the winery tour on Saturday. I will still be able to pick up John at the airport Friday night. James, if you could swing by my house on Saturday morning, then maybe John could ride with to Premier to meet up with Ed. I could later meet up with you folks for the after tour dinner and John could then come back to my place. This event will have no impact on the picnic.

Our condolences to the family Howie. Obviously we will do anything that needs to be done. Let us know if there is anything more we can do. John can get in the back of the Jetta!
