Sicilia. A blend of Grecanico (50 per cent), Chardonnay (30), Fiano (10) and Viognier (10).
A lovely, rich nose, with juicy grapefruit, fleshy peach, honey and spices.
Light to medium-bodied, tangy, with grapefruit, lemon and lime, spicy and peppery, crisp, clean but still somewhat round and full in the mouth.
Grapefruit rind and lime bitterness on the long, mouthwatering finish.
A very nice wine and one of many that I have enjoyed from Sicily, a region that deserves more notice IMHO.
