I've always found Hardys to be one of the better big-name producers.
The scent of this wine was very evocative - it smelt of nothing so much as pear drop sweets!
The predominant fruit flavours in the wine were apple and pear, backed up by a pleasing level of acidity. This in turn was balanced by a surprising hint of sweet caramel, resulting is a smooth, balanced wine.
