2006 Laxas, Albariño, Rias Baixas, Spain, $16. The color is a delightful pale lemon with a green sheen, which leads to lemony aromas as well, underscored by nuances of nectarines and herbs. Clean and crisp on the palate, this refreshing wine delivers what the nose promises. Pair with grilled seafood. Some stores have it for as low as $12; 90/90.

I really liked the 4 different '05 Albarinos that I tried (and the '04s weren't bad either). Sounds like '06 may be another good year, excellent summer wines. Thanks for the note.

This is another grape I enjoy when I drink it, but I never seem to have any on hand.
