2005 Oriel Jasper Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast California. 13.5% alcohol. $25.00 from Andrea Robinson Wine Club.

Bright red color, medium hue, very good cherry and raspberry aromas and tastes, nice spice notes, hints of mushrooms and earth, medium mouth feel, long interesting finish with fruit, spice and earth notes playing around. A very pretty wine, perfumed and seductive. 4*.

Daniel Goldfield, wine maker notes: Dijon clones planted on cool sloping hillsides with sandy loam soils. Small lots fermented in open-top containers. Cold soaked for seeral days and punched down by hand. Aged for 10 months in French oak 25% new.
