Why am I unable to log on in Mozilla Firefox, while Explorer works ?

Sorry to post in the wine thread - but saw no support forum.

I don't know. I'm reading your post on Firefox.
Chico - Hey! This Bottle is empty!
Groucho - That's because it's dry Champagne.

I register my name and password, pushes the Register button, and nothing happens (the logon page don't change). Only place I have experienced it, I use Firefox as standard.

Do you have a script blocker? If so, try enabling scripts for this site.

I don't know, either. I read your question and posted this reply using Firefox 2.0.0.4.

I suspect you have the privacy or security settings set too high. You need to allow the WLDG site to set cookies (this is how it remembers you're logged in, and remembers your settings between sessions).

Odd, adding to what the others have said, Firefox may have a security or privacy setting that rejects the little Java applet we've added to alert participant when there's activity in the Chat Room.

There is a very easy way to check this: Go to PROFILE and choose any "style" other than the default "Softmetal." If the problem goes away, this will isolate the issue, as the applet runs only on the Softmetal "skin."

Are you using a new Microsoft Vista machine? My wife had to stop using Firefox. Vista seems to have a "bug" (yeah, right) that makes it incompatible. Everything ran terribly slowly, or not at all, on Firefox.

Firefox does indeed have an "allow Java" security setting. I believe it's on by default.

Another possibility is that you're running an ad-blocking application (such as AdSubtract) that is blocking a key part of the WLDG site's login and tracking protocol. If you are running such software, set WLDG as a trusted site and allow cookies and scripts (such as JavaScript and Java) for wineloverspage.com.
