Vincent Girardin question

by Dale Williams » Fri Jul 20, 2007 2:13 pm

I've gotten several offers for V. Girardin 2005 reds. I could have sworn I remembered that he was stopping producing reds and only doing whites. Does anyone else remember this? This is just curiosity, I've decided his wines don't really appeal to me, but I'm wondering if I'm having early onset Alzheimers.

Don't worry yet. I remember the same but my only source for the info was wine BBs so was never sure if it was for real. Either way that was the story was was out there.

Recent notes in (I think) Tanzer mentioned that he would continue reds in better vintages (which he can sell).

My understanding is he will continue reds; however, not as an extensive portfolio.

Gregg
