DHL arrived with a white truffel from a friend in Italy.

Inspiration please, how would you use it?

LOL, very carefully! Think I'd start with shaving a little on pasta or risotto, and then maybe go for a little on sauteed porcini mushrooms drizzled with your best olive oil.

In full agreement with Shel. Also to consider as a first course, a one-egg omelet seasoned with nothing more than salt and pepper, that served with a light grating of the truffle sprinkled over.

Yesterday we had ragu of rabbit ( Davide Palluda ) with homemade fresch pasta and the white truffel, MUMS!! :wink:

Homemade fettucine, dressed with good Irish butter, some grated Reggiano, and showered with white truffle.
