The Dubious Future of Fish and Seafood

Mark Bittman bemoans the taste and texture of farm-raised fish and discusses the potential future of what will be on our tables. An interesting read in the New York Times at http://www.nytimes.com/2008/11/16/weeki ... ttman.html

Combine this with the numerous articles over the last few months about the fish you're eating not being the fish you think you're eating...and the future for getting up close and personal with our finny friends doesn't llook promising.
Can a actual "Soylent Green" be far off? Something to ponder while we're sucking up our farm-fraised salmon and catfish.

I know exactly what will be on my table in the future. Fresh fish that I caught myself out of a local stream or lake. If Bittman does not care to eat farm raised fish he should learn how to fish for himself.
