Bring back.....

Eating some oysters at a restaurant this evening it occurred to me that back in the day if you ordered a plate of oysters It was always accompanied by lemon wedges, some sauce which one ignored, and thin slices of brown bread and butter.
Bring back the brown bread and butter!!!

The world's gone paleo--bread rarely shows up on tables anymore, let alone butter. But I feel your pain. And I too usually ignore the sauce--lemon's are nature's most perfect pairing. And some muscadet.
