1997 Fuligni Brunello di Montalcino

I'll be sharing a bottle of this with a friend tomorrow night (my first brunello), and we're wondering what would be a good accompaniment. Any suggestions? I'm assuming red meat of some sort...

K, last month, our wine group did a tasting of Italian wines and enjoyed a nice array of Italian food accompaniments...Here they are just to give you some ideas...

-Beef Barolo served over creamy polenta (made with an inexpensive Cotes du Rhone--couldn't imagine braising with a $50+ bottle of vino)
-antipasti platter
-grilled and sliced hot and sweet Italian sausage
-assorted bruschetta
-sausage stuffed mushrooms
-authentic caesar salad
-spaghetti and meatballs
-tirimisu

Mmmmm, that all sounds really good, Carrie - thanks! I hadn't considered grilled sausages, and since we're looking for something relatively simple that sounds about perfect :)
