Whaddup wit eBob/Squires?

by Virginia Guadalupe » Sun Mar 26, 2006 12:55 pm

Why am I getting requests for a username and a password when I visit eBob?

Did Señor Squires change the site policy?

Nope, policy is still the same. You still have to talk about pointy wine.

They adopted a "real name" policy when they switched over to new software some months back.

It used to be that I could just go over there and read the threads.

But this morning, as I was sitting here with my taza de café, I was asked for a username and a password.

Just had to tell you that I love your nom de plume-BdV. Wish I'd thought of it! In fact, just now I was cackling about it to my husband and expressed the same thing--that I wish I'd thought of it. My husband said, well, maybe you can yourself Wine Slut?

To be fair, there is a lot of non-pointy and even anti-pointy talk there as well, especially in the Burgundy discussions which is mostly what I participate in there.

It was said a bit tongue-in-cheek, Jay. I've read quite a few good barolo threads over there as well and not all of it is talking about Gaja, Settimo, or Voerzio.
