My Vancouver holiday souveniers

by Bruce Hayes » Sun Jul 23, 2006 12:39 pm

Tasted some incredible BC wines in restaurants but, since they were so good and in such limited supply, I was unable to purchase any to bring home with me.

However, did pick up a few souveniors from Marquis Wine Cellars on Davie Street. Great store, great staff, the sort of place you could spend a while just wandering around.

My loot bag includes:

Kracher Chardonnay TBA 2002 (Number 2)
Cuilleron Roussilliere NV Mout De Raisins Partiellement Fermente
Rockford Riesling 2001 Eden Valley
Two Hands Yesterday's Hero (Grenache) 2004
Guillemot-Michel Quintaine Macon-Villages 2003

Surprised you did not pick up anything from Washington, Bruce? Hope to see some tasting notes on the BC wines you enjoyed.

You picked a good one--Marquis is a great shop.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov
