anyone know about this wine?

I was out with a few friends for drinks at a restaurant that has a pretty good wine-by-the-glass list. I decided to go for the Cote du Rhone Les Bec Fin (2003). It was probably the worst wine I have ever tasted. At first, the server and I thought that something was wrong with the bottle, but when she pour a glass from another bottle, same thing. It had no nose, and it tasted like slightly alcoholic water. Does anyone know anything about this wine? Did I just have 2 "off" bottles?

Lizbeth, I have tasted a 2000 Tardieu-Laurent Cote du Rhone les Becs Fins. My notes mention bold, heavy fruit and anise. The 2000 from T-D must not have been a weakling anyway.
