<table border="0" align="right" width="170"><tr><td><img src="http://www.wineloverspage.com/graphics1/puze0726.jpg" border="1" align="right"></td></tr></table>Opened one of our small stash of this wine last week for Mary's birthday (Pineau d'Aunis, inscrutably, is one of her favorite wines, and I love it too.) It's still a 2003 - surprisingly grapey for the genre - but a little time in the bottle does seem to be moving it in the direction of more typical Loire-red minerality. I think we've got one more left and will likely hang onto it for another year or so before opening.

Very dark garnet, black at the center. Blackcurrants and white pepper. Lean, clean currants and fragrant pepper, mouth-watering acidity and lovely Loire "rainwater over rocks." Rocks rock! U.S. importer: LDM Wines, NYC
