We don't need no stinkin' cheeses....

by ScottD » Tue Aug 15, 2006 1:12 pm

This reminded me of somebody's great story in the old, old forum about bringing some stinky cheese back into the country.

Our dollars at work...

I think this may be the story you are referring to. I thought it was worth sharing again for those who might not have seen it before.

And the lesson learned here is:

1. Always pay your taxes.
2. Always declare your cargo.

Customs Agent: "Do you have any food you are bringing into the country."

Me: "Yes, 3 bottles of wine, truffle oil, chocolate."

Customs Agent: "Truffle Oil? I don't know what that is...yuck. "

*stamps form"

Customs Agent: "Have a nice day!"

This raises an important side question: Do the new TSA rules about "fluids and gels" rule out bringing runny cheese home in your rollbag?
