I love this vineyard, especially for Spatlese -although for different reasons than I like many Rieslings. This is a great example of a TOTALLY SATISFYING SPAETLESE (TSS). Ripe, powerful pineapple and orange fruit, nectarine and lemon zest. The intense fruit gives way to spicy mineral and finishes with tongue splitting acidity. Wines like this are as focused as an axe head skating around on your palate. Although young and brash, its pretty seamless (I think there's some botrytis to blur the transition a little) and hints at becoming even more so in the near future. $25.00 -I feel like a thief!

Prost!
