according to my newspaper you guys in paris haven't even hit 70 degrees for the last couple of weeks. true?

Sounds like a potential vintage of the epoch to me. :wink: I'm sure the price of Petrus will be adjusted accordingly... perhaps only $900/btl on release.

I hope that we will hear from Alex R. Here in Brussels and, i think, as far south as the Loire and east as the Mosel-Rhine, August has been reminiscent of a wet and windy early October with top temperatures barely exceeding 20°C (approx 68°F) and some days much less. This is far from promising for the Mosel region and Champagne.

My impression from friends returning from holidays in the South West as well as my anxious perusal of weather forecast is that the weather down there has been far less bad.

However a lot depends on septemeber and the real early October.
