Great idea, Dale, and thanks so much for inspiring this.

For the record, I had made small donations to Doctors Without Borders and Episcopal Relief and Development, but in response to Dale's call have made another donation to ERD and duly forwarded Dale the receipt.

Not much great in the cellar right now, but I'll look over it tonight and come up with *something* to throw in the pot.

Dale,

I sent $50 to the Red Cross for Haiti. There is a note on their site saying that due to the overwhelming response it may take up to 24 hours to get an email receipt. When I get it I will forward to you. That is good news... about the overwhelming response.

Since Steve has sweetened the pot with some deeelicious ESJs, I'll throw in a prized bottle of Edmunds-St. John 2005 El Dorado County Wylie-Fenaughty Syrah to expand the prize selection just a bit more.

Dale,

Here's an additional prize.
3 bottles of 2001 Napa Cabernet: Karl Lawrence Napa Cab, Wolf Family Vineyards Napa Cab and Lewelling Napa Cab.

Shipping is on me anywhere in the US where the law permits, or the winner will have to figure out a legal and reasonable way to receive shipment.

Thanks.

Dale I donate $30 to the Red Cross, but due to the volume of donation it is taking time to process them. I won't get a receipt for 24 hours and will forward it at that time.

OK,over halfway to the 100 contributor goal/limit!
If we don't reach 100, and a high number is the first number up, I'll recycle my prize until it has a winner. Each donor can decide what to do, but now there's at least an even chance of a winner for each prize. In any case hopefully contributors will keep coming.

NB: these prizes are just in order they were donated and will be "drawn", there is no 1st/grand prize
Prize #1 - choice of 4 Bdx from 4 decades (DW)
Prize#2- 6 bottles of Hart Cellars (Howie) wine- your choice across a variety of varieties! (HH)
Prize #3 Case of ESJ Bone Jolly (SE)
Prize #4 Mag of '95 ESJ Durrell (SE)
Prize #5 set of 3 '97 Ridges- Geyserville, Lytton Springs & York Creek Petite Sirah (DB)
Prize #6 4 Tobin James- 06 Cabernet Franc James Gang Reserve, 06 Cabernet Sauvignon/Syrah James Gang Reserve,
06 Petite Sirah Black Magic, 07 Zinfandel Liquid Love, Late Harvest (MK) plus a TJ Zin (CE)
Prize #7 '05 ESJ Wylie-Fenaughty (RG)
Prize #8 2001 Napa Cabernet: Karl Lawrence Napa Cab, Wolf Family Vineyards Napa Cab and Lewelling Napa Cab (RC)

My wife and I just made a $100 contribution to the American Red Cross Haiti Relief and Development fund. I've sent the PDF of the online receipt and will submit the official receipt when it is received. Red Cross indicates that may take 24 hours due to the volume of donations.

There you are. :)
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov
