Alsace grand cru under screw cap for the first time

by Neil Courtney » Fri Sep 29, 2006 1:35 am

For the first time ever, screw-capped Grand Cru wine from Alsace will be sold commercially in major markets, including the UK, said Alsatian winemaker Frederic Blanck of the well-known Domaine Paul Blanck in Kientzheim.

.......

Bit old now, but an interesting story.

(How the devil does this URL tag thing work here? I did figure it out once....).
Cheers,
Neil Courtney

Good news, Neil.

Here's what I do:

Copy url

Click on URL tag at upper right.

Insert = sign just before ] -- no spaces.

Paste or Control C url after = sign.

After ] type your descriptor -- anything you want.

Highlight descriptor and make it Bold -- top left B.

Click on URL box at top right.

Preview or Submit -- I usually Submiet and edit if I screwed up -- rarely now -- usually because there is a blank space somewhere.

Bob, it's for making a pretty link. For example, I could post my link like this:

http://www.mbr-pwrc.usgs.gov/Infocenter/i3370id.html

or like this:

Red Tailed Hawk.

Both would link to a page on that wonderful bird, but the second link looks nicer.

Neil
... and the Paul Blanck Schlossberg mentioned is a very smart wine indeed. Well worth a try if you see it.
thanks for the info
Ian
