You might be a wine geek...

by Alan Uchrinscko » Sat Sep 30, 2006 8:57 pm

If you are visiting firends and see a Framer's Almanc magnet on their refrigerator and think it's a Chateau Petrus label (I did this earlier this evening)...it was the 2000 to top it off...the colors are a bit off when distorted on the web but at a quick glance it's there...

You might be a wine geek...

when you know the wine just from seeing the color of the capsule.

when you swirl your orange juice at breakfast

and then you sniff it....

LOL!

You're a wine geek when...

your bicycling becomes an excuse to try new wineries!

You pass by Chateau Motor Lodge (real place on Grand Island, NY) and think "ooh a new winery"

You might be a wine geek if this is your home page.
You might be a wine geek if you slap your 22-year old son upside the head for holding his wine glass by the bowl.
I believe we had this thread about 2 years ago on the old WLP and it may be worth resurrecting.

When your at a newstand and as your eyes glance across the cover of latest Vogue magazine your heart flutters with the thought of Musigny VV.

You know you're a wine geek when you think twice when you hear the term "corked bat."

Stay up all night to read Thomas P’s book “Wine- the 8,000 Year Old Story of the Wine Trade” from cover to cover. (Nicely done Thomas).

Salute
