National Geographic November 2006.

Hint: let the pictures roll for a few seconds.

I received my copy of National Geographic last week and there was Gary staring out at me. He makes an interesting coverboy. The interesting thing is that his picture accompanies a story about the discovery of some ancient hominid fossils. Either Gary bears a striking resemblence to an austrolapithecine, or National Geo. has a lot of explaining to do.
Yes, and how many deaths will it take 'til he knows
That too many people have died?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind.

I didn't see this post until this morning as I languish in my hotel room next to Sea-Tac Airport looking for things to keep me busy until I leave for my flight.

Good catch, Bob!!

Now, you need to identify my current avatar ... perhaps a more evolved version of my previous one?
And now what?

Tough challenge, Gary. I'll revert, carrying my shield -- or on it. :-)
