Orange, almost rosé colour! Yummy. Paradoxically fruit forward and savoury. A great "cheap" champ.
Yalumba Barossa Bush Vine Grenache 2004
In a sense this showed promise. There was vegetality on the nose - it was savoury rather than a gobby. But the palate was fiery. For f**k's sake, why can't they make ripe wines Down Under today with less alcohol - even the 80's Granges were under 13% abv?
Trimbach Cuvée des Seigneurs de Ribeaupierre Gewurztraminer 1999
