WTN: 1995 Christoffel Urziger Wurzgarten Riesling Auslese***

by David M. Bueker » Mon Apr 10, 2006 1:23 pm

Brought to dinner by Steve Scarborough and Marianne Zsiska (remember them?).

Golden hue. Aroma of starwberry, spice and everything nice that Urziger Wurzgarten is all about. air time brings out more honey. On the palate it's like a starwaberry chiffon pie with a drizzle of cinnamon infused caramel sauce. Incredibly creamy and lip smackingly good. Long, long finish that echoes creaminess the whole way down.

Delicious wine.
There behind the glass lies a real blade of grass. Be careful as you pass. Move along. Move along.
