Being Mocked on eBob...

At, least that's what I thought I was over there when I noted the post:

TNs: The weirdest/funniest/most exagerated/irrelevant/indefinable/questionable

The title was a little too close for comfort to my agglutinative style of notes.

This looks innocent enough. Are we having a Carly Simon moment? I suppose the question begs another question: what is with the ostensibly self-conscious agglutination in the first place?

Tom,

After reading (and subsequently contributing to) the thread, I don't think it was really aimed your way.

Plus the thread was not authored by Raffle, Gregory or Kegl, so I doubt there was an agenda.

Not that I will even consider bothering my internet browser with that particular site... But I do think you should allow that this thing could possibly not be about you, Tom, and that the title is just a coincidence.

I can, I must say, imagine that many, many examples of the habitual prose of Mr. Bob would be up for Hall of Fame/Shame ocnsideration, at least if one adopts the parameters set by the threads' title.

Becuase where would the English language be without "gobs"?

Tom,
I like your "bloody pulpit" for the additional information it imparts. Also, you sometimes reveal in the footnotes whether you really enjoyed the wine or just tolerated it.

Indeed, writing the BloodyPulpit at the end is the part I enjoy most about writing up my tasting notes. I hope my tasting notes are consistent in identifying how much I like the wine, but if it's something I really/really like; I want to make that claer in the BP. Of course, I could put #'s (scores) on the wines... but I'll not sink to that level of certain Monktown attourneys!! :-)

Joe, man, so happy to see you around these parts.

Okay, so Tom slashes. Does he burn, too? That would make him a very valuable character in my book...
