Wine Labels

by Marco Raimondi » Fri Dec 07, 2012 5:43 pm

I imagine there has been a thread/topic like this before, but don't know; I'll start with a few labels I saved of Italian wines, from their first vintage.

Here's the label of Montevertine's "Pergole Torte" 1977 (which I believe was the first commercial release of this wine); it cost me about $12 when I bought it in back around 1980.

...and here's the label from the first vintage of Gaja's Sori' Tildin (bought from the restaurant wine-list of Villa Sassi-Torino in 1980 for approx. $18).

Hope to see some interesting labels posted by fellow label collectors!

CellarTracker is a great resource for labels these days. I have to admit that I threw out my label collection a couple of months ago.
