Good read, Peter. I was loathe to click on the link after being spammed by "Nat Decants" a few years ago, but I held my nose and did it anyway. I recall several of those Ravenswood Teldeschi Zins with fondness and it's great to hear the back story.
Great story. Reminds me of the time my wife and I shared wine with Dr. Frank in his garage. He told us that if we drank wine made from hybrids, our kids would be deformed.
Chico - Hey! This Bottle is empty! Groucho - That's because it's dry Champagne.
Loved the story. I found out that my paternal grandfather and his brother had a falling out over farmland and I didn't know that great uncle (his name was Luke or Luther) existed until he showed up for my grandmother's funeral (his sister-in-law.) My grandfather had died years before in a hunting accident. Seems a shame when family members stop speaking to each other.
