A worthy successor to the 2009, and exceedingly enjoyable to drink. Plenty of supple fruit, some oak, though not at all overwhelming in the context of the fruit, and a beautiful balance. The finish is long, long with ample grip. Looks like one for the cellar, but it sure was fun to drink last night. Went really well with my medium-rare filet topped with foie-gras butter. I liked the way the ripe black fruit played off the foie element.
