Fine, rich lemony flavors on the palate and nose. What really stood out, though, is the savory, almost meaty flavor element underneath the fruit...and the mouth watering acidity. Only 77 cases made.
I really enjoyed this one, and I am not really very familiar with Semillon.
I also have a bottle of Matthew Rorick's Petit Verdot (Gascony Cadet) that I am now looking forward to trying. Tom, or any other fans of Mr. Rorick...have you tried Gascony Cadets? It's a 2006, so I am assuming it is reasonably within its drinking window.
