Like the 2009 Fleurie from Drouhin, this was a meatier, earthier style of Fleurie. No Carbonic Maceration, so a serious, brooding, black fruit focused wine that showed more Beaujolais character over the evening. I honestly think this wine needs time in cellar or to be open for hours if not a day, as the sample at Arlequin in SF was more interesting. Still...I enjoyed the tangy dark fruit...good acidity!
