WTN: 2006 Yamhill Valley Vineyards Estate Pinot Noir

Willamette Valley, McMinnville AVA, Oregon. 13.9% abv. Leaves legs on the sides of the glass. Deep purple color, fading on the rim; opaque. Pleasant dark fruit scents. Slightly grapey in flavor with some of the pine needle nature that figures in many Oregon Pinots. Nice, unassuming Oregon Pinot Noir. I had it with smoked ham Christmas Day and with macaroni and cheese and ham to use up leftovers of the smoked ham over the following two days. (Also green beans in melted butter and lemon juice.) Would I seek this out again?--probably not.
