WTN: 1998 Vieux Château Certan

1998 Vieux Château Certan
"Dark" sweetness on the nose, tobacco, dark chocolate, earth, mineral notes, very pure.
Highly concentrated dark fruit. Juicy, refreshing with notes of herbs and roasted lamb. Very fine and highly aromatic tannins. Wonderful mouthfeel. Great concentration and depth. Long and complex finish, ending on notes of white truffle. - The most aesthetically pleasing Merlot and one of the best Bordeaux that I know. I assume this is now at its peak and will provide great drinking pleasure for another 5-10 years. - Cheers, Rainer
