WTN: Great QPR for a QBA

by Jim Grow » Sat Apr 13, 2013 8:30 pm

A month ago I bought a case of Reichsgraf von Kesselstatt 2008 QBA Mosel Riesling for the grand total 0f $49. My first bottle tonight confirmed a great decision. No, it didn't transport me to "Wow" land but for $4.10/bottle it is a great QPR wine with lots of citrus and light apple nose and flavors framed by nice acidity. Medium/light straw in color, the balance was fine and this one could age a bit but will not as this is a great picnic/porch wine for the coming months.
Abv is %10.5 . No vineyard designation and not a surprise. This takes me back to the "good old days".
