Tried this last night after a total fail on a Tardieu CdR:
1.
BedrockWineCo Syrah NorthCoast (14.0%; 35%-50% whole cluster; 14 brls; www.BedrockWineCo.com) 2011: Very dark color; very strong blackberry/Syrah quite spicy/peppery/cold-climate Syrah some Rhonish/smokey/roasted/licorice rather complex nose; rather tart/lean light blackberry/Syrah fairly peppery/cold-climate Syrah bit hard/tannic/bitey some roasted/Rhonish flavor; very long roasted/Rhonish/peppery/cold-climate Syrah/earthy some blackberry/Syrah finish w/ modest hard/bitey tannins; the acidity suggests a Texier StJoseph w/o the smokey character; needs several yrs to smooth out; a very interesting Rhonish Syrah at a stupid/silly price. $21.00

And a wee BloodyPulpit:
1. It's the ole Bedrock lament..."I shoulda bought more". It would have been better if Morgan had labeled it "Cote-Rotie" and then charged $24. Nuthin' wrong w/ that I think.
