by TomHill » Wed Apr 24, 2013 12:25 pm

Tried last night w/ my leftovers:
1.Forlorn-Hope Kumo To Ame Rose Wine DeWittVnyd/AmadorCnty (117 cs; 11.33%; TourigaNacional/TintaRoriz/TintaCao/
TintaAmarella; early picked) 2012
: Very pale gold/bronze color; rather earthy/dusty/bit coarse light watermelon/plummy/cinammon/spicy/cranberry some perfumed/herbal nose; fairly tart ripe/lush light cranberry/spicy/cinammon/plummy/cranberry bit perfumed flavor w/ little tannins; med.long tart/tangy slight tannic/austere earthy/dusty some plummy/cinammon/cranberry fairly ripe somewhat tangy/steely finish; a pleasant/drinkable rose but would like a bit more perfume & aromatics; reminds me most of some Calif Sangiovese roses. $25.00

A wee BloodyPulpit:
1. Thiis is, of course, MattRorick's wnry focusing on lesser known grape varieties that are a "forlorn hope". Made up in SuuinCity at TennbrinkWnry. This is his first rose, I believe. It just arrived on Monday, probably just been bttld, and probably really needs a few months to show much; it seemed a bit tight & closed. But it is way better than the new BradPitt/AngelinaJolie rose. Plus Matt is way more good-looking......than BradPitt, anyway.
