The BTG blues

by David M. Bueker » Thu May 02, 2013 9:48 pm

Business trip this week, so 3 dinners on my own. I am not going to work through a bottle on a "school night", so it's by the glass. Two of the places had horrendous offerings, and one of those 2 was so wildly overpriced (e.g. KJ Chard was $17/glass). I tried an Oregon Pinot Gris and a Languedoc Grenache at the third place. The PG was ok, but relatively bland. The first pour of the Grenache was clearly from a too long opened bottle, and the second pour was corked.

Beer list please!

I thought about cocktails, but did not like what I saw on offer behind the bar.

Alas for dining & drinking in the non-urban midwest.
