2001 Château La Tour Blanche Sauternes - France, Bordeaux, Sauternais, Sauternes (9/13/2013)
Starting to come into its own now, with honeyed, spicy notes joining vanilla cream and sweet citrus elements. The overall impression is sweet but in no way cloying, the balance persisting through to the long, spiced orange finish. Very delicious, though still in need of more cellar time to flesh out the complexity just a little bit more.

I can't comment intelligently on the wine, David, but your sly allusion is Thor-worthy. A more current one, though, would have been to work "Tar Valon" or "Aes Sedai" into the title.

I didn't have that kind of "time."
