2008 Mathilde et Yves Gangloff Côte-Rôtie La Barbarine - France, Rhône, Northern Rhône, Côte-Rôtie (9/20/2013)
Spicy nose, purple color, raspberries and blueberries with barely a hint of wood. Beautiful balanced wine, with good acidity and stood up very well to a chicken with rice and cardamom dish (from Ottolenghi's Jerusalem cookbook). Excellent structure and long finish. Will improve for years but yummy now. (93 pts.)
Best Regards

Not me. I also don't think I've ever had a Gangloff, although it sounds delicious.

I had never tried one before but got the wine purely on Posner's recommendation; I obviously was not disappointed.

Good thing you put "young" into that sentence, Dale. :P
